Ride Apps / Private transfer (50-70€)

In Rome, travelers have several app-based ride options to navigate the city. Uber, Bolt, and Cabify let you book rides via their apps, pay digitally, and meet your driver at designated airport pickup points. Unlike in some other countries, only premium vehicles such as Uber Black or Bolt’s higher-end options operate in the city. These services are perfect for travelers who want comfort and convenience. For a truly stress-free experience, private transfers are ideal: they’re prebooked, come with professional drivers who assist with luggage, offer fixed fares regardless of traffic. The prices are around 50-70€ depending on the company and destination.

Tips for a Smooth Transfer

  • For budget-friendly transfers, keeping in mind that bus and train services don’t operate past 22:30–23:00, it’s convenient to book flights that arrive no later than 21:30–22:00. Keep in mind that any flight delays could result in higher transfer costs if you arrive late.
  • If you’re traveling with an average amount of luggage, consider taking the Leonardo Express. It’s the best option in terms of price and travel time.
  • If you’re traveling with luggage or in a group, consider taking a taxi for greater comfort and convenience. The rideshare services can cost more having in mind they only offer premium vehicles.
  • Google Maps or Apple Maps is recommended for finding the most efficient route to your destination.
